Death Valley National Park

Death Valley, oddly, was one of those places that I knew I wanted to see.  I loved it. Well, that was until we started to make our way back out of the valley.  Getting to the bottom, to sea level and below is quite easy.  You don’t realize you are going as far down as you do, until you leave.  That is when there is a ten-thousand foot climb in front of you with a lovely sign by the side of the road that tells you to ‘Turn off Your AC’ so you don’t break down.  It was 119degF, I thought we were going to melt!  The rental car became very sluggish, but she did the climb in the heat.  We didn’t take any photos when we got to the top, but the views were stunning.
