Streatly Hill

Like many here in the UK, this Sunday was a rare opportunity this very wet winter to get outside in the sunshine. We took a drive over to Streatly Hill for a walk so we could look down on the flooded Thames. The pictures don’t do it any justice–the river is twice as wide as normal, and it was very sunny for most of the walk. It was my first walk in the woods (I’ve been avoiding slippy mud!) since I had surgery in December, and I was surprised to find it a rather easy walk. We got home in time to watch the Pairs Figure Skating for the Olympics and to have some of Michael’s delicious pizza for dinner.
